Punarnavadi Kashayam is a classical Ayurvedic decoction made from eight herbs with Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) as the lead ingredient. It is prepared as a water-based herbal extract by traditional methods.
How to use
Adults: 10, 20 ml Punarnavadi Kashayam mixed with an equal quantity of lukewarm water, once or twice daily before food, or as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner.
Routine tips
Best taken as part of your morning and evening self-care. Many practitioners combine Punarnavadi Kashayam with Punarnavasavam or suitable single-herb supplements for a more complete daily routine, based on individual needs.
Practitioner guidance
Classical texts describe Punarnavadi (Punarnavashtaka) Kashaya as a “mutrala” (supportive of healthy urine flow) and “shothahara” (traditionally used in conditions associated with heaviness and stagnation). In a modern wellness setting, it is chosen to complement protocols aimed at maintaining healthy fluid metabolism, comfortable joints and liver, kidney wellbeing, while staying gentle enough for longer-term use when appropriately supervised.
